When I arrived to visit my mother last night and tuck her into bed, she grabbed my arm quickly and in a hushed voice said, “Keep your voice down so they don’t hear you and you’ll be safe.” “They” were the trio of evil people in the house mom was certain were going to murder her, me and the other two residents. I had walked into the middle of a major hallucinatory episode and it took me close to one hour to release her of this fear and then hug and kiss her to sleep. From previous experience with mom and her hallucinations, I was at least able to work with her successfully and keep her from causing challenges for the other residents and the resident caregivers.

Are you struggling with them matters like this? Or perhaps combativeness, sundowner’s, shadowing or any number of other behaviors that you don’t understand? There really are tips, aids and tools you can benefit from using that will make your daily caregiving easier for you and many of the tools you’ll learn about will make life better for your loved one, too. Your specific issues and questions will be addressed, too, during this fast-paced 2-hour workshop.

Join me on Monday, May 17th from 1 to 3pm for insights into the disease and tips to becoming a master at surviving this insidious disease.

You are here because you are one of the Coachella Valley’s 15,000 to 18,000 family caregivers. There are 12,000 Alzheimer’s victims in our community and ALZ Life Matters is here to assist you with your challenges.

Have you ever wondered who takes care of the caregiver?

We do.

My life became a tsunami when I was thrust into the roll of my Mom’s full-time caregiver. As a life long learner, I needed to know more. After extensive investigation and over 500 hours of off and online research, ALZ Life Matters was created.

ALZ Life Matters is a professional services provider offering specialized training, tools, support and solutions for those who care for sufferers of Alzheimer’s, Dementia and Memory Loss. We’re dedicated to caring for the caregiver. We’re not medical professionals or clinicians.

We are experienced, compassionate professionals who will provide you with a new sense of calm, peace of mind and the necessary tools and information to carry forward.

We’ll also show you now to save lots of time and money, too as you sort through the mountain of information and physical and emotional upheaval that will continually challenge your former “normal life.” There are a multitude of do’s and don’ts to discover to improve the quality of your life.

If you’re confused, frustrated and wondering where to go, or how to begin your caregiver’s role, we‘re certain we can assist you. We know exactly what you are attempting to juggle while meeting the countless demands on your life and time and all at once.

Let ALZ Life Matters assist you with your journey, because your life matters, too.
